The mi note 10 pro battery model name people search for is BN53 when the phone is the Redmi Note 10 Pro sold in India, a 5020 mAh pack that listings also give to the Note 10 Pro Max and Note 9 Pro. A separate Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, sold mainly in China, takes a BM57 battery at about 4900 mAh.

There was also an older Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro, a different phone again. If your handset says Redmi on the back, the BN53 answer applies.

Mi Note 10 Pro battery model name and the naming muddle

Xiaomi has used "Note 10 Pro" three times. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is the popular India model with a 108 MP or 64 MP camera. The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is a China and some export model with a different chip and the BM57 pack. The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Pro from an earlier year is another phone with its own battery. Searches mix these, which is why our Note 9 Pro page and the BN53 page also mention this phone.

Checking which Note 10 Pro you own

The back says Redmi Note 10 Pro on most units, which is not enough. On the phone, the About phone screen shows the marketing name; the full model code is under All specs. Indian Note 10 Pro units start with M2101K6. If you see 5G in the name, ask for BM57 instead.

The Note 10 Pro has a glass back held by adhesive. If that glass begins to separate along an edge, a swollen cell is usually pushing it. Unplug the phone, avoid pressing the glass, and let a repair desk take the battery out.

What 5020 mAh means on this phone

With its 120 Hz AMOLED screen, the Note 10 Pro uses more power than a budget Redmi, so 5020 mAh gives a full day for most people rather than two. The 33 W charger in the box refills it in a little over an hour. Turning the refresh rate down to 60 Hz in display settings adds a noticeable amount of screen time if the pack is starting to age.

Replacing BN53 in a Note 10 Pro

Xiaomi service centres stock BN53 for this model. If you use an independent shop, bring the phone so they can confirm the M2101K6 model code, and ask to see the BN53 label on the new pack before fitting. The Redmi code index lists neighbouring packs if the label shows something else.

Rated, typical and the 4920 mAh listing

Xiaomi advertised 5020 mAh for the Note 10 Pro, and most replacement packs print that figure. A listing for the Japanese version quotes 4920 mAh, which is the minimum line printed on genuine cells. Both describe a battery of roughly 19.4 Wh at the 3.87 V these Redmi packs use. If a BN53 copy claims 6000 mAh, it is not honest, because the phone's frame leaves no extra room.

The capacity explainer sets out why phones show two figures, and the battery health walkthrough helps you decide whether your old pack still holds most of its charge.
