This vivo battery model list gathers every Vivo and iQOO battery page of this site, sorted by code and by phone, and every vivo code follows one short pattern (B, hyphen, two characters), as in B-O5. The code names the pack family, but only its own page lists which phones take it.
Treat this page as a map. If you know your phone, open its phone page. Holding a loose battery? Read its label and open that code's page. Each page says what is confirmed, where listings disagree and what to check on the label before you pay.
Quick facts
Step by step
Write down the phone name and model number
Open Settings, then About phone. If the model number is hidden, type model in the Settings search bar. The retail box also carries it.
Look for your phone in the phone table below
If the phone is listed, open its page first. It gives the battery code that listings match to that phone and notes on the version you own.
If you hold a loose pack, read the code on its label
Look for a B, a hyphen and two characters. Tilt the label under a bright lamp, because faint print turns S into 5 and O into 0.
Open the code page and compare
Check the phone list, the capacity and the look-alike codes on that page against what you have. Settle any doubt at the counter before the pack is fitted.
Vivo battery model list: how the codes are built
A Vivo battery code is easy to recognise. It begins with B, then a hyphen, then two letters or digits. Examples on this site are B-O5, B-Y1, B-G7 and B-X8. The same style is used for iQOO phones, which come from the same maker group.
The characters after the hyphen are neither a capacity nor a year. Do not read 7 in B-S7 as a 7000 mAh pack, or 5 in B-Z5 as a 5000 mAh pack. The characters are only a part number inside the maker's own system. Similar looking codes can belong to different phones, sizes and plugs.
Many people type the code without the hyphen, as BO5 or B05. The hyphen is part of the proper written form, but search lists accept both. What matters at the counter is that every character on the new pack matches the old one.
Where vivo prints the code
The code appears on the cell's own label beside capacity, voltage and batch marks. On most current Vivo phones the back is sealed, so you cannot read it by looking at the phone. A technician must open the back and bring the label into view.
Codes also show up in parts listings and service records, so a service centre can often name the code from the model number. Before the old cell is binned, ask to see its label and take a photo. That photo settles any argument about what was fitted.
For capacity rather than the code, search battery in vivo Settings. Menu names differ by phone and software version, so the search bar is safer than a fixed path.

Code pages: every Vivo and iQOO battery code covered
Open the code page when you hold a pack or have read a code from a label. Each page names the phones that listings match to that code, gives the capacity and says which similar codes to keep apart. The lines below describe the page itself and do not claim a phone match.
| Code page | What the page covers |
|---|---|
| B-O5 | Phones, capacity and the O versus 0 typing mix-up |
| B-Y1 | Phone list and capacity for this code |
| B-G7 | Phone list, capacity and look-alikes |
| B-W1 | Which phones take it and how to confirm the label |
| B-Z5 | Phone list and capacity for this code |
| B-E5 | Phone list, capacity and similar codes |
| B-S7 | Phones, capacity and codes in the B-S group |
| B-T7 | Phone list and what to check before ordering |
| B-S1 | The code itself, not the Vivo S1 phone |
| B-F3 | Phone list and capacity for this code |
| B-R5 | Phone list, capacity and look-alikes |
| B-S2 | Phones and capacity, with notes on nearby B-S codes |
| B-D9 | Which phones take it and how to read the label |
| B-X8 | Phone list and capacity for this code |
Two more vivo codes have their own pages: B-P9, listed for the V21 5G and the S9, and B-M3, listed for the Y30 and Y50.
Phone pages: find the battery by Vivo model name
Open the phone page when you know the handset but not the pack. Each phone page gives the matched code, capacity and notes for multi version phones; vivo series have close siblings, so go by the exact name and the About phone model number.
| Phone page | What the page answers |
|---|---|
| Vivo Y20 | Battery code and capacity for the Y20, with its siblings |
| Vivo Y16 | Battery code and capacity for the Y16 |
| Vivo Y21 New | Battery code for the newer Y21 and how to tell it from older ones |
| Vivo Y73 | Battery code and capacity for the Y73 |
| Vivo S1 | Battery code and capacity for the S1 phone |
| Vivo V20 | Battery code and capacity for the V20 |
| Vivo Y33s | Battery code and capacity for the Y33s |
| Vivo V21 | Battery code and capacity for the V21 |
iQOO handsets use the same style of code. If your phone is not listed here, read the label through a technician and use the code table above.
Rated and typical capacity on a Vivo pack
Capacity is given in mAh, and a battery label can carry two figures. The typical value is the one used in adverts and phone specifications. The rated value is the promised minimum and is usually a little lower. If your label shows both, they describe the same pack, and a small gap between them is normal.
A vivo cell's watt hours come from its mAh and volts multiplied, over a thousand. For example, a 4000 mAh vivo cell at 3.85 V holds near 15.4 Wh. Equal mAh at unequal voltage means unequal energy, so mAh alone misleads.
Capacity does not tell you the code, and the code does not tell you the capacity. Two codes can carry the same mAh and still differ in size and connector. A replacement should match the old pack on code first, and then on capacity. What the figures mean day to day is covered in our mAh explainer.
Look-alike Vivo codes and the typing mistakes behind them
Most wrong orders come from reading or typing the code badly, not from a faulty seller list. These are the mix-ups seen most often with Vivo packs:
- Letter O versus zero.
B-O5is often typed B05. Both searches lead to the same code, but on a worn label the two shapes look alike, so read it under good light. - S, 5 and 8. On a faint label these three blur together. The B-S group has several members, and pages such as B-S1, B-S2 and B-S7 keep them apart.
- A code and a phone with the same name. The code B-S1 and the Vivo S1 phone are different things. A pack marked B-S1 is not automatically the S1 phone's pack.
- Shared last digit.
B-Z5andB-E5both end in 5 but are separate codes with separate phones.
One customer asked for a pack for a Y series phone because a friend's phone shared its name. With the back open, the technician found a code one character off from the pack on the shelf. The pack was not fitted. The phone's own page and the label together settled it in a minute.
Choosing the right page for your situation
Your starting point decides which page is quickest. Pick the line that matches you.
- You have the phone and need a battery. Use the phone table above, then confirm the code on the old label once the back is open.
- You have a loose battery and need the phone. Read its code and open that page. Phones named there are the ones that listings match to that code, and the page flags any doubt.
- You are comparing phones. Look at the capacity on each phone page, then read big battery phones for the wider picture. Screen size, chip and charging watts matter as much as mAh.
- Fast drain but no swelling. Look at apps and reception with our drain guide, then the health check.
If you want to compare with other families, the Oppo, Realme and OnePlus list and the Redmi, Xiaomi and POCO list follow the same layout.
Replacing a Vivo battery without a mismatch
vivo handsets are mostly sealed, so swaps belong at authorised service or a trusted shop. Give them the phone name, model number and old code if known. Ask them to compare the code on the new pack with the old label before the back is closed.
Fake or poor copies are common. Spot them by weight, print and claims:
- The replacement is clearly lighter than the original.
- The print is blurry, or the batch marks are missing.
- The label claims a capacity well above what the phone was sold with. No cell of the same size can honestly hold that.
Equal mAh with another code may not fit, since size and plug can differ. Full fitting advice for any brand is in mobile battery replacement, and the cell types are explained in mobile battery types.
A pack that has swollen, turned very hot, started leaking or been dented is a fire risk. Stop charging at once and leave the pack alone, without pressing or bending it. Put the handset down on bare tile or stone and get it serviced that day. Never fit a copy only because its label shows a bigger number.
Care habits that suit Vivo phones
Battery wear comes mostly from heat and from long hours at full charge. Charge in a cool, open place. Never leave the phone on a bed, sofa or in sun while it charges. If the phone runs warm during gaming or video calls, take the cover off for a while.
Charge with vivo's boxed kit or an adapter of lower or equal rating. Replace any cable that warms near the plug. Charge time depends on charging wattage and the adapter, not mAh alone. If the phone shuts off while it still shows a fair charge, test the battery with the health check before you buy anything.
Frequently asked questions
What does a Vivo battery model name look like?
B, then a hyphen, then two characters, for example B-O5 or B-Y1. People often type it without the hyphen; vivo prints it on the battery label under the back panel.
How do I find my Vivo phone's battery code?
Open the phone's page in the list above and read the code that listings match to your model. For certainty, have a technician read it with the back open. Sealed phones should not be opened at home.
Is B05 the same as B-O5?
Search lists treat them as the same, because the letter O and the digit 0 look alike. On the label itself, check which one is printed. Read the page for B-O5 to see its phones and capacity.
Does the number in a Vivo battery code show the mAh?
No. The characters after the hyphen are just a part number. Capacity is printed separately on the label and in the phone's specifications.
Will a vivo battery with equal mAh but another code fit?
Do not assume it will fit. Size and plug can differ even at equal mAh. Match the full code, then check the capacity and the connector.
Do iQOO phones use the same battery codes?
iQOO phones use the same short B- style of code. Each code still has its own phone list, so use the code page rather than assuming a share with a Vivo model.
